It’s always a pleasure to photograph a wedding at Quinta da Taipa – and the wedding of Inês and Eduardo was no exception! It was a wedding that I particularly enjoyed photographing, not only for the venue but for the couple themselves and for the way they reached out to me Something that has to do with age, children and friends.
Firstt and foremost. here are some photographs of their wedding day, starting with the preparation of Eduardo and Inês.

Inês and Eduardo
Inês and Eduardo are a young and beautiful couple. Like all young couples, they have a lot of energy. Like all beautiful couples, they look good in photographs!
When I went into the room where Inês was preparing with her friends I immediately felt the energy brewing – music playing, screams of enthusiasm mixed with shots of poncha, while practicing the surprise choreography for later. It gives pleasure to feel this atmosphere, to be in the middle of it. It’s inspiring.
However, despite their youth, they have a son. It is rare to see the strength of youth blend with the affection of fatherhood. Yet that was precisely what I found at this wedding.
Eduardo asked Inês to marry him during a helicopter flight in Rio de Janeiro, over Christ the Redeemer. They had planned to marry in 2020. Sadly, the pandemic turned their plans around and they were forced to postpone to 2021. It was a good decision because they ended up having their wedding in Quinta da Taipa at the ideal time, when the numbers were already low and people vaccinated. It finally felt like the old normal had came back,

Wedding Planner – The logical option to plan a Wedding!
I met Inês and Eduardo through their wedding planner Outlux – Weddings and Events. They are wedding planners based in Lisbon with whom I’ve had the pleasure of photographing many weddings over several years.
I’ve photographed over 150 weddings in my career. As you would expect I’ve experienced a bit of everything from small weddings with only the couple and the registrar (an elopement) to huge weddings with over 500 guests. I have photographed in several and scattered areas of Portugal and also abroad. I’ve lost count of the nationalities of the couples. And in all this heterogeneity in weddings, there is one thing in common: all those who were planned by wedding planners were more original, less stressful for the bride and groom and with fewer mishaps throughout the day.
In essence, hiring a wedding planner is an investment, to ensure that the investment in the wedding has maximum return.

Wedding at Quinta da Taipa
I often say that photographers have the most valid opinions regarding the best places to hold a wedding! Because every year we visit a lot of venues and places. Because we’re treated like guests. Because we know better than anyone which are more good-looking. Above all, because we know where we always want to go back to. And Quinta da Taipa is undoubtedly one of those places! It has all the ingredients to make a dream wedding come to life.
Besides, when you’re having a Quinta da Taipa wedding with a wedding planner it’s icing on the cake. Combining the wedding planner experience with a top space, it’s hard for a marriage to go wrong.
