Celebrating a wedding at the Palácio da Cruz Vermelha, in the heart of Lisbon, with a breathtaking view over the Tagus River and a setting worthy of a film? It’s everything you need for your wedding in 2026.
The Palácio da Cruz Vermelha, officially known as the Palácio da Rocha do Conde d’Óbidos, continues to be one of the most iconic wedding venues in the Portuguese capital.
Getting married in autumn has a special charm, and Inês and Eduardo chose this iconic venue to celebrate their love — and I had the privilege of capturing every moment.

Inês & Eduardo
Inês and Eduardo met in an unexpected way and decided to say “I do” in one of the most beautiful places in Lisbon.
They found me through the wedding planner
During that session, I discovered that they are both doctors and that we even share mutual friends from our student days in Coimbra — the world really is small! In less than an hour, we were already laughing like old friends.

Getting Ready at Palácio do Ramalhete
The day began with Eduardo getting ready at the couple’s home. When I arrived, I immediately noticed two things: the incredible view over the Tagus and the Christmas decorations! After all, it was less than a month until December.
After a few relaxed photos, I headed to the Palácio do Ramalhete, where Inês was getting ready surrounded by friends. Upbeat music, glasses of sparkling wine in hand, and that mix of excitement and nerves — everything you want on a wedding morning.

A wedding at Palácio da Cruz Vermelha
I’ve photographed several weddings at the Palácio da Cruz Vermelha, and I can say it’s one of the most beautiful places to get married in Lisbon.
The ceremony took place in one of the historic rooms, surrounded by walls covered in oil paintings and a classic atmosphere that added a sense of royalty to the moment. The warm candlelight and high ceilings created a setting worthy of a film. Inês looked beautiful as she walked in, and Eduardo… well, let’s just say it was hard for him to hold back his emotions.

If you’re planning your wedding in 2026, I’m sharing here another wedding story in a completely different setting: Mariana and Bruno’s wedding, held in the height of summer at Quinta do Castilho.
