Introduction to Quinta de Sant’Ana
Quinta de Santana, tucked away in the lovely village of Gradil, Portugal, is a hidden gem with a rich history. This gorgeous estate, with its sprawling vineyards and lush gardens, dates back to the 17th century. Once a noble family estate, it has now become one of Portugal’s most popular wedding venues. A Quinta de Sant’Ana Wedding offers a charming mix of rustic and elegant vibes, making it the perfect spot for couples wanting a romantic setting for their special day.
Victoria and Phil’s Journey to Forever
Victoria and Phil’s story began in 2017 at the Design Management Conference at DoGA, Victoria’s workplace in Oslo. Phil arrived late, and as fate would have it, they ended up at the same table during a workshop Victoria helped organize. It wasn’t love at first sight, but they quickly realized they had a lot in common. Their friendship grew over a few holiday visits to New York City, where Phil lived at the time, and eventually, they fell in love.
They decided to tie the knot on September 25, 2020, at J2 Korean restaurant in Oslo. The ceremony was low-key, but the chefs recognized what was happening and made it extra special. That restaurant now holds a special place in their hearts.

Falling in Love with Quinta de Sant’Ana
When it came to planning their dream wedding, Portugal was an easy choice. With its sunny beaches, amazing surf spots, delicious wine, and friendly locals, they were hooked. They discovered Quinta de Santana during a wine-tasting trip from Ericeira and instantly knew it was the perfect place for their wedding.

The Ups and Downs of Wedding Planning
Planning an international wedding wasn’t without its challenges. With family scattered around the globe, finding a venue that worked for everyone was tough. They were also delayed a year by the birth of their daughter. Then, a last-minute mix-up with the Catholic church almost derailed their church wedding, but luckily, Pastor Ruben stepped in and saved the day. Despite losing their original photographer, they found an even better one to capture their special moments.

The beautiful setting, delicious food, and excellent wine made it a day to remember. The venue was perfect for kids too, making it a fun and joyous occasion for everyone. It was truly the ideal Quinta de Sant’Ana Wedding!

A Short but Sweet Honeymoon
Their honeymoon was a short but magical glamping experience at Areias de Seixo, with a memorable night on the beach. They’re planning a longer family honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in November, thanks to Phil’s brother Andrew’s generosity.
