Inês and João met when they were still teenagers, in secondary school, where a connection was formed that grew stronger over time. Their wedding at Quinta de Catralvos was the perfect reflection of that story: today, their ideal day involves a motorcycle ride, a good meal and a breathtaking view.
In 2023, during their holidays, João surprised Inês in Ponte de Lima. The setting was perfect: calm, the river, and that holiday atmosphere that makes everything feel lighter. It was there that he proposed, and her “yes” paved the way for the day they would live in Sesimbra and Azeitão.
On their wedding day, they chose to get ready at home, each in their own space. João was surrounded by his groomsmen, while Inês was joined by her parents, brother, and bridesmaids. The morning was filled with conversation and laughter, between hair and makeup.

The religious ceremony was the highlight of the day for them. The church, set within the walls of Sesimbra Castle, welcomed the guests with its soft light and warm atmosphere. Inês entered on her father’s arm, greeted by emotional glances. During the mass, every word carried special weight, and their “yes” was spoken with the certainty of two people who had already built a life together.

Wedding at Quinta de Catralvos
Afterwards, we continued the celebration of the wedding at Quinta de Catralvos, in Azeitão. The cocktail took place outdoors, with the Arrábida mountains in the background and the vineyards adding a sense of tranquillity.
Quinta de Catralvos blends rustic charm with refined comfort, set among vineyards and framed by the Serra da Arrábida, creating a naturally romantic and peaceful atmosphere — perfect for weddings that value scenery and sustainability.

Wedding at Quinta de Catralvos
The outdoor spaces allow for relaxed walks through the vineyards, refreshing breaks by the pool with a view and even personalised wine tastings — experiences that delight the couple and surprise their guests. Many also praise the hospitality and the location, set between mountains, beaches and regional gastronomy.
Dinner at this wedding at Quinta de Catralvos featured regional dishes and, of course, local wine. When the music started, no one stayed seated, and the energy lasted late into the night.

Documentary Photography
My approach was the same as always: a discreet presence, attention to detail, and respect for the moment. From the father’s handshake to the groom, to the spontaneous laughter on the dance floor, every photograph was taken to tell the story exactly as it happened. More than images, they are memories that, years from now, will bring back the sounds, scents, and emotions of this day.
